Looking for online music lessons for yourself or your child? Have you always loved music and wished you could play? Maybe you have a son or daughter, or know of a family member or friend who would be interested in learning to play the piano, guitar or sing. Our passion is to help people - both children and adults - experience the incredible beauty of making music, and their own creative voice in the process. We have helped hundreds of people reach their musical goals. We believe a strong foundation will benefit students throughout their musical lives, and include the following in lessons: music reading, improvisation, composition, play-by-ear, harmonization, technique, theory, music of different time periods (Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Contemporary), music of different styles (such as rock, pop, jazz, country, blues and classical.) today’s popular music, special holiday requests and more.

Frequently Asked Questions about online lessons

Can I still come to your school for in-person lessons?
Yes! We are currently offering the option to take either in-person lessons at our location in Mendota Heights, or online via Zoom.

What is the experience like learning to play music online?
We have received a fantastic response to our online music lessons option. Families love the flexibility, and the continuity of being able to continue their music education from the comfort of their own homes. We have had hundreds of students choose our online lessons option and have had overwhelmingly positive feedback.

My kid is sick, can I reschedule?
Yes! Just give us 24-hour notice and you can reschedule your lessons on another day and time. You can also give your lesson time to another person in your household.

How do online lessons work?
First, contact the office that you would like to enroll in online lessons. The office will give you a special link where you and your teacher can meet online. The online platform that we use for music lessons is called Zoom. Zoom is one of the leading video conferencing apps and is available to use for FREE on smartphones, tablets and computers. All you need is an internet connection and to download the app. Set up your device so your teacher can see you playing your instrument or sing. At your lesson time, simply click the link for your online lesson, and your interactive video will start.

What equipment do I need at home?
In addition to your instrument, you will need a device to connect to the internet, such as a smartphone, tablet or computer.

At what time should I log into my online lesson?
As with all lessons, please arrive to your lesson at your regularly-scheduled time.

I have more questions. What can I do?
We’re here to help! Just give us a call/text at 651-263-9475.

How do I get started?
It’s easy to get started. We have rolling admission so you could start as early as next week! Do you have a day of the week that is better for you? Please let me know a few days and times and we can set up your first appointment. We look forward to making music with you soon!

“Thanks for offering the Zoom option for your students. I expected this to be a challenge for me. I’m a senior, I use only basic computer skills, and I wasn’t even sure my laptop had a camera. I’ve never done online learning or face-to-face meetings. In just a few minutes, I could follow the directions in your email, download Zoom, and have both audio and video connections. It was easy. Now, if only learning the guitar were so simple!” ~Jackie
