ABOUT video recorded lessons

If students are not able to attend in-person or online lessons, but would still like to make progress, your teacher can create a short video for you that includes helpful tips for what you can be working on in your music practice that week.  

 

How Video Recorded Lessons work

  • If you cannot attend a lesson in-person or online, you have the option to request a video recorded lesson.

  • Requests need to be made before the lesson time begins.  You can request online or phone / text:  651-263-9475 or via email. 

  • During your regular lesson time, your teacher will create a short personalized video assignment for you. The video assignment may be 3-10 minutes long, depending on what the student is working on. 

  • Your video assignment will be uploaded to the student comment section in your Opus1.io student profile.

  • If you are going to request a Video Recorded Lesson for consecutive lessons, we request that you share a video of your progress, so your teacher can comment and provide feedback.  


How to request a Video Recorded Lesson: 

  1. Log in to your Opus1.io account 

  2. Choose the date that you would like to request a personalized video assignment.  

  3. Click the button that says “Request Recorded Lesson”


How to view your Video Recorded Lesson: 

  1. Log in to your Opus1.io account

  2. Your assignment will be under the student comment section.


How to submit a video for your teacher to review: 

  1. Create a short video (between 1-15 minutes) of you playing your piece.  Be sure to ask any questions you may have.  

  2. Log in to your Opus1.io account

  3. Upload your video to the Opus1.io student comment section. 

 
 

In the pop-up window, select the recipient (teacher), and click on the paperclip icon to attach a video.  

 
 

Your teacher will review your submitted video during your regularly-scheduled lesson time, and provide feedback in your Opus1.io student comments section.
