Brighter Minds Music
Dear Brighter Minds Music families,
First, I’d like to tell you how much I’ve enjoyed you and your kids, over the nearly two years I’ve worked at BMM. It brought me so much pleasure to see your love and devotion to your families, each time I worked, and I will miss you.
I’ve left BMM to have more time for my healing practice as a Life Coach and EFT (also called Emotional Freedom Techniques or tapping) practitioner. And that’s the reason for my note today. I am now able to offer in-person sessions for children, through a collaboration with The Healing House of St. Paul, and I thought Brighter Minds families might want to know more.
EFT is an easy-to-learn mind/body tool for calming the nervous system. You gently tap on the endpoints of energy pathways in the body, while focusing on something that bothers you. This usually has the effect of softening, or completely releasing the thing that bothers you. You can still think about it, but it doesn’t bring the emotional charge it once had. Kids and parents can benefit from learning how to use it on their own.
For kids, it can be very helpful for fears, worries, school struggles, dealing with change, calming the body before sleep, recital nerves (!), shyness, building confidence, and more.
Appointments for kids are 30 minutes long, and, unless your child is a teenager, a parent is asked to attend the appointment so you can learn how to tap and help your child (and yourself!) at home.
