Monica has been taking lessons for 8 months.
2. What instrument(s) do you play?
Monica plays the violin.
3. Who are your favorite musical artists?
Monica's favorite musical artists are Queen, Prince, ABBA and Billy Joel.
4. What are your short and long term goals with music?
Monica's short term goal is to master rythym. Her long term goal is to be able to play complex musical pieces.
5. What is your favorite part about taking music lessons?
Her favorite part of taking music lessons is having someone who is knowledgeable in music and performance to ask questions there to answer your questions.
6. What are your hobbies?
Monica's hobbies (besides violin) are drawing, painting and baking.
7. What are some of your favorite foods?
Her favorite foods are pasta and bagels.
8. What is the coolest thing you've learned in your lessons recently?
The coolest thing she has learned recently is triplets.
9. Do you have any performances coming up or have you had a performance recently?
Monica's last performance was at the Brighter Minds recital in June. Her upcoming one will be this December with her Orchestra at Friendly Hills Middle School.
10. Why should other people play music?
Monica thinks other people should play music because it is fun!

Monica Schmidt started taking lessons in June and has shown tons of excitement to learn music! She told me she loves to practice and that is very evident in lessons! Monica is always prepared for new challenges. We are finishing Suzuki Book 1 and have made great progress in tone production and technique.
