How long have you taken music lessons?
I have taken guitar for lessons for four and a half years and I just started taking piano lessons for around six months.
What instrument do you play?
I have played guitar for four and a half years and I have played piano now for around six months. I also have taken voice lessons in the past.
Who are your favorite musical artists?
A couple of my favorite musical artists are Train, Weezer and Kacey Musgraves. Another thing I often listen to is the ‘Dear Evan Hansen’ (the musical) original soundtrack.
What are your short and long term goals with music?
My top goal is song writing. I would love to be able to write my own songs, I think that would be pretty fun. I am also working on recording and different things and all the cool things you can do with that.
What is your favorite part about taking music lessons?
My favorite part about taking music lessons is having guidance on the new things I am learning and being taught. My teacher is pretty cool too!
What are your hobbies?
Besides music I love to draw, play video games and sometimes some fictional writing in my freetime.
What are some of your favorite foods?
Chinese food is my top favorite food followed by fast food on occasion.
What is the coolest thing you've learned in your lessons recently?
The last big thing I’ve learned in both guitar and piano is the circle of fifths. I have also just finished the first faber piano book. Singing and playing guitar has been one other thing I have worked a bit on in lessons.
Why should other people play music?
If you enjoy music, play music! It can be a very artistic and fun thing to get into. Especially when you crank up the sound! It can also for me be quite therapeutic.
